Sakartvelo, AKA The Republic of Georgia, is a small Caucasian country located between Russia and Turkey, and between the Black and Caspian seas. It has about four and a half million people, the majority of whom are Kartveli (hence Sakartvelo), and speak Kartuli ena, which I have been trying (or perhaps intending, rather) to learn. It looks like this: საქართველო.
I’ve been teaching there for one semester, with plans to go back for a second, which lasts until mid-June. Here are some pictures of my time so far:
